Item Description
4.25x6.25x2" deep cardboard box w/small illustration of enclosed set on lid. Inside box lid has bw image of the set. Wm. Rogers & Son Silverplate. ©1936 KFS. Box shows lt. edge/corner tip wear and has scattered dust soiling but is free of splits and Fine overall. Box contains 6" tall pressed board toy w/free-wheeling wooden wheels and silk-screened image of Popeye carrying "Spinach" bucket. Toy is designed to hold generic baby spoon in raised hand, as shown on underside of box lid illustration, and comes w/2-7/8" long silverplate baby spoon w/loop handle. Spoon has nice patina and fits perfectly. Toy has some small spot of denting and wear to top of Popeye's head. Fine/VF. This company also made another Popeye that held fork and spoon and featured slightly different image of Popeye.
