Item Description
. Heavy art board has 13.5x21” India ink image area for October issue. The Halloween party balloon Uncle Elby is blowing up explodes scaring dog Napoleon as Jitters the monkey plays on rope above them. Title logo is hand inked. Art is signed in ink “Stephen Douglas” at lower left and boldly autographed in pencil at left to noted fantasy and comic strip artist “Best Regards to Al Williamson Steve Douglas”. Reverse side has rough ink sketches done by the artist to loosen up brush work including man w/pistol, Oaky-Doaks-like faces, woman’s face. Front has few small missing photostats, lt. dust soiling and aging. Margin edges are aged. Image area will frame to near Fine appearance. Nice art by the longtime artist-editor.
