Item Description
Heavy art board has 13.5x21.5” India ink image area for May issue. Uncle Elby is about to swing bat at baseball as dog Napoleon rushes in w/catcher’s mitt. Title logo is hand inked. Art is signed in ink “Stephen Douglas” at lower left and boldly autographed in pencil at lower right to noted fantasy and comic strip artist “Steve Douglas Best Regards To Al Williamson”. Reverse side has rough ink sketches done by the artist to loosen up brush work including Captain Midnight type, men’s faces. Front lt. dust soil and aging. Margin edges are aged. Image area will frame to Fine appearance. Nice art by the longtime artist-editor.
