He didn't join the baseball team until the following year, where he excelled and was scouted by the Yankees, ultimately leaving early for the Majors. The cover of the book shows some moderate wear around the corners and is VG. The interior pages as well as some of the tipped in prints are Exc. A very interesting portrait of one of the all time greats.
