Large 33x33" lithograph on on French Arches paper w/deckled edges features great art by Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams, depicting a Jazz musician playing trumpet w/pianist in bkg. Released as part of a limited edition of 175, this has been hand-numbered "78/175" in pencil and has "G" embossed mark at lower left. Williams has boldly signed in pencil at lower right. Top/bottom margins have creases as issued at top/bottom of image. Some minor scattered age spots, but would look Exc framed. Aside from his acting career, Williams attended the National Academy of Fine Arts and Design in New York resuming painting in the late 1980s. Some of his work can be seen at his online gallery BDW World Art. He has had solo exhibitions in various galleries around the US, and his work hangs in the National Portrait Gallery, the Smithsonian Institution and the Schomburg Museum. He has provided the covers of the Thelonious Monk Competition programs since 1990.
