Item Description
27.75x37" frame contains die-cut cardboard standee display (w/easel back) that has been professionally and attractively double-matted, w/great die-cut detailing matching display's die-cut top. Display has been mounted to backing board. Display advertises "Arcturus" radio tube manufacturer that was founded in 1927 and was licensed by RCA in 1929. Display dates to c. 1930. Great graphics cover display, w/large image of newsman at radio microphone, reporting on the many scenes about him, which include marching soldiers, fire/firetruck, flying bi-planes, beauty pageant, motorcycle policeman, car crash, warships and artillery, etc. Large image at bottom right shows three different radio tubes w/"Test Your Tubes - Free" banner. Other display text includes "Flash - Don't Miss A Word" and "Get New Tubes - Arcturus - The Tube Of Star Performance." Display has 4" tear along left center margin, but most of this blends somewhat. Die-cut top has some creasing to tips of "Flash" text. Blue mat shows some scattered wear w/.5" surface paper tear at top center. Displays Fine overall. Rare.
