Complete three-volume course set consists of three high quality binders, each marked w/"Famous Artists Cartoon Course" name on fronts/spines. ©1965 Famous Artists Cartoon Course, Inc. Volume 1 consists of Classes 1-10, Volume 2 consists of Classes 11-19 and Volume 3 consists of Classes 20-24 plus index. Lesson titles include - "The Comic Head, The Comic Figure, Anatomy, Pretty Girls, Clothes, Perspective, Lettering" and each artist has their own full section in Volume 3 w/numerous illustrations. Artists include - Rube Goldberg, Milton Caniff, Al Capp, Harry Haenigsen, Willard Mullin, Gurney Williams, Dick Cavalli, Whitney Darrow Jr., Virgil Partch and Barney Tobey. Characters featured include The Brooklyn Bum (and other sports art by Mullin), Steve Canyon, "Terry And The Pirates" characters, "Li'l Abner" characters and Penny. The aforementioned "Pretty Girls" section in Volume 1 features photo w/full frontal female nudity. Binders have some scattered handling wear/dust soiling/aging and are Fine/VF overall. Interior pages remain bright, clean and Exc.
