Item Description
1.75" button with back paper by Pittsburgh maker Trimble. Reverse has narrow .25" line where the celluloid buckled just a little bit along the collet and this created the very slightest bump on the top edge. All celluloid is sealed with no splitting and this is a minor as made defect. Front center depicts cross surrounded by letters standing for Women Of The Ku Klux Klan. Rest of the text reads "We Are Here With Bells On/First Penna. Konvention/Saturday Aug. 9th 1924/Altoona, Pa." Small ribbon suspends a working brass bell. Button is essentially Mint with the small as made defect as noted. A very scarce single day event button.
