Item Description
First is 1.5" from 1966 and reading "Build/March 25-26/Days Of Protest/Bring The Troops Home Now." This button was issued for the second International Days Of Protest whose organizers included Vietnam Peace Parade Committee, National Coordinating Committee To End The War In Vietnam, Women Strike For Peace and SDS. Demonstrations took place across the USA as well as in cities ranging from London to Tokyo. Second button is 1.75" and we are not quite sure if it is from October 1965 or also from March, 1966. It reads "Anti-War Referendum/5th Ave. Vietnam Peace Parade Committee/Sign Up To End The War In Vietnam." This group was founded and organized the first International Days Of Protest in October 1965 as well as the 1966 event and many that followed. David Dellinger was chairman and later became one of the Chicago 8 defendants. Both are essentially Mint.
