Item Description
Lot of three pocketwatches. First is 2.25" dia. silver-plated watch by American Watch Co. that dates to 1874. Key wind untested. Moderate luster wear top silver plating and scattered lt. wear to crystal. Dial features second hand and small "American Watch Co." name. Inside back of case lid has stamped "Silveroid" mark and "628497" number. This also has lightly scratched "Lyon" name and two series of small numbers. Interior case lid has stamped company mark and matching "628497" number. “PS Bartlett” name as well as Waltham, Mass.” and “Fogg’s
Patent” text appear on movements. Additionally, the numbers “724938” appear by the escapement. Tiny letters "S" and "F" appear below rule above "Fogg's Patent" text. The
numbers “849 7” are stamped on outer rim.
Exc. Second is 2" dia. Illinois Bunn Special from 1931. Size 18 w/21 jewel movement. Interior of case back has "G.J." mark as well as "Star Case Watch Company - 10 KT. Gold Filled" designation and "2434815" number. Intricate movement has "Double Roller - Bunn Special - Illinois Watch Springfield" text as well as noting "21 Jewels - Adjusted Temp. And Six Positions" w/additional text reading "Motor Barrel - Sixty Hour" and "161A." Another number reads "5569516." Text below escapement reads "Elinvar." Runs. Scattered lt. case wear but o/w Exc. Last is 2" dia. Waltham Vanguard from the 1930s. 10K gold filled, 23 jewel movement w/up-down indicator. Back of case has engraved "GM" initials. Interior of case back has "Star Case Watch Company - 10 KT. Gold Filled" designation and "0998730" number as well as three very small etched numbers (one encircled). Intricate movement has gold etched "23 Jewels. Adjusted." text as well as "Vanguard - Waltham, Mass. - U.S.A." name. Additional small gold etched text reads "6 Positions" and "26964135." Non-gold text reads "Lossier Inner Terminal Hair Spring." Runs. Scattered lt. case wear but o/w Exc. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
