Item Description
First is 5/8" tall one piece metal lapel stud with oval enclosing raised portrait of him with his name in tiny letters below "Gen. John J. Pershing." Exc. Second is a "Sterling" pin with enameling on the front and raised depictions of three pairs of dice. Between the dice are the names of Generals "Haig/Foch/Pershing." Center bar reads "Victory." Couple near pinpoint dots of black enamel off the dice but vast majority remain. Next is 7/8" button with W&H paper. This is a rare portrait button and reads "Pershing/Peace/Nov. 11/1918." Mint. Last is 1-13/16" tall slightly convex litho tin shield with horizontal bar pin on the back. Front depicts large red cross inscribed both directions with the word "Peace" while the surrounding quadrants include the word "We" twice and the word "Want" twice. c.1916 and the only example we have seen. A few trivial paint marks. All four items are rare.
