Item Description
Lot of 49, each 1-1/8x2-1/8" thick cardboard. Issued between 1937-1941 by Peerless Weighing & Vending Machine Corp. Front of each features star's name along w/studio name. Each reverse is marked "Collect Engrav-O-Tints/Portraits Of Movie Stars" along w/fortune. Cards are sometimes found with weight ink stamp imprint on reverse, however all of these are without an imprint. Stars include Gene Autry, Lucille Ball, Capt. Clark Gable, Judy Garland, Roy Rogers, John Wayne, Claudette Colbert, Betty Grable, Katharine Hepburn, James Stewart, Spencer Tracy, others. While many cards have images a bit off-center as printed, all remain clean with sharp corners. NM/Mint.
