Item Description
Lot of three posters for concerts that took place at Straight Theater, a San Francisco, CA. venue on Haight St. in 1967. First is poster #2, a 17-3/8x23" original first printing poster for Aug. 11-13, 1967 concerts featuring folk singer Pat Sky, Mt. Rushmore and Clover. Poster art by Bob Harwayne features psychedelic negative close-up woman's face. Poster has some tiny corner tip bumps and tiny age spot at lower left. Exc. Second is poster #9, a 16-3/8x22-3/8" original first printing poster for Oct. 13-15, 1967 concerts featuring Kaleidoscope, Lightnin' Hopkins, and Martha's Laundry. Poster art by C. Braga depicts Native American overlooking band names w/psychedelic Uncle Sam Straight Theater mascot saying "Go Straight" and eagle w/wings spread holding "In God We Trust" banner. Last poster is #10, a 16.5x22.5" original first printing poster for Oct. 20-21, 1967 concerts featuring The Charlatans, Congress of Wonders, The Original Soft Pretzel and Ann Halprin - Kinetic Catalyst. Poster was printed by Double-H Press and features a collage design w/laughing woman at top and classical art images at bottom interspersed images of band and natives. Last two posters have some corner tip bumps w/more noticeable wear at upper left corners, which have a few creases. Scattered margin handling wear. VF overall, but could be easily framed for a nice display.
