Item Description
Lot of three original first printing items from San Francisco, CA. venue Straight Theater. First is 8.5x11" single-sided "The Straight Sheet" No. 2 handbill w/illustrations that include Winnie the Pooh and Prince Valiant-like character as well as text promoting Allmen Joy and Flamin Groovies shows. NM. Other two items are concert posters measuring 17-1/8x21-5/8" and 17.5x22.5". First is for Aug. 4-6, 1967 concerts that featured Wildflower, Second Coming, Clover and others. Art by Terre. Second is for Sept. 1-3, 1968 concerts that featured Big Brother & The Holding Company, The Southside Sound System and others. Art by Salas features tribal design that includes swastika at each corner. Both poster have some moderate scattered handling wear to margins. First has .25" tear at top right and is Fine/VF overall. Second poster has more moderate margin wear and is Fine though poster could be framed for a nice display.
