Item Description
17.75x18.5" frame contains original title card and two buttons for the 1940 re-release of the 1938 film about cadets at Virginia Military Institute that was directed by William Keighley and starred Priscilla Lane and Wayne Morris. The film also featured Eddie Albert in his film debut, as well as Ronald Reagan, who, while working on the film, met the actress Jane Wyman, whom he later married. Title card has been professionally and attractively double-matted to 10x13" and shows some lt. even aging and scattered lt. handling wear. Top mat has custom-cut opening below title card for inclusion of two 7/8" dia. promotional issue pinback buttons of same design, featuring "When Skirt Meets Flirt It's - Hiya Brother Rat" w/full body images of woman waving at cadet. Both are Exc. Makes for wonderful Exc. display as professionally framed w/conservation materials.
