12-5/8x20" artboard has original mixed media art depicting the main box lid art for Lindberg model kit No. 581:50, featuring a 1/72 Scale model of the Heinkel HE 162 Volksjäger, a German single-engine, jet-powered fighter aircraft used by the Luftwaffe in World War II. 1965. The Volksjäger was the fastest of the first generation of Axis and Allied jets. Art shows Volksjäger in foreground, an American P-51 Mustang in bkg., having just shot down another German plane, which can be seen plummeting to the ground, a trail of smoke behind it. Art is unsigned. Art area measures 9-3/8x17.5". Printer labels at top/bottom margins, which have some staple holes along them. Art remains NM and would look stunning framed.
