Item Description
Large and impressive 33" by 12'4" fabric banner assembled in three sections. 1940s. Left and right margins have canvas edging w/brass grommets. Center section of banner measures 34" wide and features silk-screened portrait image of MacArthur w/large "Welcome MacArthur" text. This section is bordered w/canvas edging at top w/brass grommets and bottom has fringed trim. Center section is flanked by red, white and blue stripes, the blue stripes having total of 12 stitched stars. Banner shows wear w/.5" snag at upper right, 1" stain at center right and some scattered faint staining by MacArthur portrait. Left section has some scattered spots of staining and two .25" snags along top as well as 3" tear. VG/Fine overall, but rare and first we've offered in our 48 years.
