Item Description
10x12" sheet of animation paper w/outlined art area 7-7/8x10.5" featuring chaotic image of dancers from the "The Dance Of The Hours" sequence from Disney's 1940 animated musical "Fantasia." Featured are ostrich, hippo, two elephants and two alligator dancers, another hippo, elephant and alligator partially visible. Each has been beautifully rendered in lead pencil w/red/blue colored pencil accents. Reverse has "Concert Feature" studio back stamp noting artist James Bodrero (who also provided art for previous item #1699), and noting this as being from Sequence #10, Sketch #265 and dated July 5, 1939. Sheet has overall lt. aging and pinholes at corners, w/a few scattered along margins. Sheet is VF overall, but art remains Exc. An exceptional piece of art for this 1940 animated Disney classic.
