Item Description
7.25x8.75x1-1/8" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains five books issued by Cupples & Leon in 1934. Lid has one corner split and scattered edge/corner tip wear. Underside of box has large pencil inscription and 1934 date. Fine. Set of five softcover books are each 6.75x8.5" w/32 bw pages of comic strip reprints. Titles include "Little Orphan Annie, Reg'lar Fellers, Smitty, Harold Teen" and "Dick Tracy And Dick Tracy Jr. And How They Captured 'Stooge' Viller." These softcovers are abbreviated versions of the hardcover editions issued by Cupples & Leon. Covers have some scattered lt. creasing, least noticeable on Orphan Annie. Covers are each VF, Orphan Annie is VF/Exc. Interior pages are NM. A nice set w/wonderful specialty cover art. From the Rogers M. Fred, Jr. BLB & Related Collection.
