6.25x9.25" with 648 pages copyright 1981. Reference is the retitled and updated edition of J. Doyle DeWitt's classic study of 19th century political lapel badges and medallic issues "A Century Of Campaign Buttons." Black and white photos include George Washington brass inaugural buttons, pewter rims, sulphide brooches, medals, ferrotypes, etc. The DeWitt book ended with 1888 campaign. Sullivan added numerous items for many candidates and includes the 1892 campaign. Jacket and hardcover are NM with Mint contents. Out of print.
