Item Description
Setup consists of eight over-sized 10.5x35.5" acetate "pan" cels w/total image area (including Lone Ranger, Tonto and bkg. train cars) measuring 8.5x34.5". This was used for production of the Filmation "The Tarzan/Lone Ranger Adventure Hour" animated TV series that aired on CBS 1980-1982. The series consisted of reruns of "Tarzan, Lord of The Jungle" paired w/new episodes of Filmation's versions of The Lone Ranger and, in the second season, "The New Adventures Of Zorro" — at which point the series was retitled "The Tarzan/Lone Ranger/Zorro Adventure Hour." This animation setup shows both The Lone Ranger and Tonto from the waists up, running in front of a series of three train cars, caboose at the end. Cels comes w/pan master painted bkg., completing 8-cel setup. Cels are attached at bottom and have some scattered lt. aging/wear. Lone Ranger has some lifting to black line paint and has two tiny flakes of blue off arm, but o/w images are complete and display nicely. An impressive setup that would look great framed. These pan cels are much rare than basic cels from the show.
