Item Description
Glossy 8-1/8x10" National Concert and Artists Corporation publicity photo shows Frank Buck and his assistant Ali putting an angry 26' long python in a cage. Buck was a hunter and self-described "Collector Of Wild Animals," as well as a movie actor, director, writer and producer. He is known for his book "Bring 'Em Back Alive" and his jungle adventure movies of the 1930s and 1940s. Photo has typed caption strip on reverse and image is from one of the jungle movies mentioned above. Photo has been boldly inscribed "Best Wishes To Frank Murtough From Frank Buck - 10/5/43" in black ink. Top center of photo has some surface emulsion scratched and impressions, but this blends somewhat. Photo has some scattered handling wear but remains bright and glossy. Fine overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
