Item Description
Glossy 8x10" still of actor Gene Pollar (New York City firefighter Joseph Pohler), who in his brief film career was the second actor to portray Tarzan on film. This was for the 1920 silent film "The Revenge Of Tarzan," based on the novel of the same name by Tarzan creator Edgar Rice Burroughs. This still is a later print and not from the original release, but shows Pollar afloat on piece of wood in a scene from the film. Pollar has signed still in white ink, adding "Tarzan" character name and "1919-1920" dates. Still has some handling wear w/scattered creases, but signature/inscription remain distinct. Corner tip wear w/some small creases. Fine overall but would frame for nice display. Scarce signature. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
