13x16.5" vintage wood frame has mat w/9.5x13.25" opening w/superb watercolor art by Margaret Bradfield, noted for her work on "Mr. Pudgins" and "900 Buckets Of Paint" as well as other children's books. Art depicts striking scene w/rain slicker-clad man in boat rescuing African-American girl and boy in flooded farmland. He wraps a blanket around girl as boy sits on tree branch w/chickens. A cat is seen atop barn in bkg. Signed in pencil at lower left corner. Exc.
