16.75x21.75" wood frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 9-3/8x14-3/8" mixed media image titled "Jack Davis - 'Family In A Museum'" on engraved brass title plate on mat underneath art. Publication this art was done for is unknown, but c. 1980s. Great scene shows young boys looking at executioner's sword and basket for severed heads w/large thought balloon showing hooded executioner leaning on sword as Puritan-looking woman kneels at chopping block, basket ready to catch her head. Worried looking mother tries to get attention of father, who looks at various portraits on bkg. wall. Art has been signed in ink by Davis and comes w/4x6" color photo of the artist in his studio holding this original. Image area is bright and NM. Framed and ready for display.
