All come in vinyl postcard sleeves held in three different three ring tabbed binders holding approximately 1,200 common series, 200 real photo, and 300 specialty/scarce series. Makers sections include: Albertype, American Art Publishing, C.T. Art, East and west, Foto Seal, Gemloid, Grinnell, Haberman, Mainzer, Manhatten, Meriden Gravure, Metrocraft, Paris Art Label, Quality Art Novelty, Tichnor, Underwood & Underwood, W.R. Hicks. One album is solely devoted to Fair exhibitor’s promo advertising postcards and foreign country’s pavilions and exhibits. Virtually every exhibit and pavilion imaginable can be seen on these cards, including some pre-opening artist’s designs and some hand water colored. Attractions include: Perisphere, Trylon, Liberty Bell made of pearls, buildings, statuary, two headed cow, Midget Town, and much, much more. Advertising cards include: GM, Firestone, Elsie the Cow, Elgin watches, Donut Palace, Schlitz Palm Garden, Havana cigars, Ex-Lax. Some cards appear similar, but there are slight variations in art, color or maker to make all the cards different. A few are postally used, otherwise VF/Exc. Comes w/extensive printed list detailing makers and printing variations. An incredible collection put together w/care over a 20 year period. Most likely not a collection possible to equal or be surpassed.
