Large and impressive 32.25x38.25" wood frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 19x23" mixed media image area titled "Open Try-Outs For Kickers." Publication this art was done for is unknown, but c. 1970-1980s. Great scene shows 10 football players running about and/or standing by signpost marked "North, East, South, West" and "Anywhere," w/three closest players w/their thumbs sticking out as if hitchhiking. Other players can be seen running around in bkg, each carrying suitcase and tickets. Closest players have text on helmets/jerseys, some of which reads "Twinkle Toes, This Foot For Hire, I Can Split The Up Rights, Have Foot Will Travel, Extraordinary Place Kicker, Ich Bin Fußaller." Art has been signed in ink by Davis at lower right. Top center and upper left have two 1.5" spots of tape staining. Lower right has 2.75" stripe of faint tape staining.
