21.25x26.75" wood frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 11x14-3/8" area w/India ink and watercolor image w/"Original Art - 'Go Ahead And Putt. You've Got Seven Seconds Till The First Shockwave Hits Us! Artist: Jack Davis" engraved brass caption plate underneath art. Art is alternate version for single panel cartoon that was published in Vol. 9, #9 Sept., 1962 issue of "Playboy" magazine. Art features two men on the 18th Hole of a golf course, a large atomic mushroom cloud rising over the city in the bkg. Lower right has been signed by Jack Davis. Image area is bright and NM. Every bit as colorful and detailed as the published version. Comes w/reading copy of the issue of "Playboy" magazine that the final version of this cartoon was published in. Humorous Davis art.
