Item Description
23-1/8x27.25" wood frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 12.75x17" mixed media image that served as the front cover for "Four Color" #1348; "Yak Yak," published by Dell Publishing Co. in Jan. 1962. Great scene shows "Yak Yak" mascot w/bow and arrow, w/rope tied to arrow and mascot's foot as he is about to attempt to shoot himself to the moon as a crowd looks on. Art has been signed by Davis and comes w/pair of 4x6" color photos of the artist in his studio w/this original. Image area is bright and NM. Framed and ready for display. Comes w/reading copy of the actual comic this art was used for. All Jack Davis original cover art is scarce, making this a collector's dream.
