Item Description
Lot of three pieces of original lead pencil art, c. 1936 and early in the production of "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs," showing an early concept of Dopey. First sheet measures 9.5x12" and features four different full body images of Dopey, one being rough outline while two are rough drawings and last is more complete looking. Sheet is lightly aged w/some scattered handling wear/creasing and is Fine/VF w/Exc. art. Second sheet measure 10x12" and features a slightly different looking depiction of Dopey, slightly closer to how he appeared in the finished film. Sheet features three rough drawings, one full body w/two very rough drawings showing him from waist up. Top right has .25x2-3/8" sliver off margin. Fine w/Exc. art. Last piece is comprised of two pieces of animation paper glued together to 10x21" w/six separate pieces of paper attached at top, each having individual lead pencil drawing showing sequence in which Dopey laughs so hard he falls off rock he was sitting on, rolls around and smacks his face into the rock. Sheet shows scattered lt. wear/aging but art remains Exc.
