Obverse has eagle above large jugate images with the names and date below “Polk/1844/Dallas.” A slogan at the bottom reads “The Peoples Candidates.” Reverse has female figure representing Liberty plus images of a spinning wheel, sheep, agricultural implements and a cask inscribed “Tobacco.” The slogan at the top reads “Success Will Crown Our Efforts.” Bottom edge carries name of the engraver “Wagner.” Very scarce.
