Item Description
Hake #3187. 1.25” with gold text surrounding raised dome with portrait at center. Exceptionally clean paint with just a few near hairline slivers off the extreme outer edge. The piece is designed much like the celluloid buttons which followed in 1896. The front litho tin segment has a tin reverse with attached 1” safety style fastener. Reverse embossed lettering reads “American Tinplate Made By Norton Bros. Chicago.” Exc. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
