These Steiff dolls came in a variety of sizes and this is the smallest version made by them, standing 4.5" tall. 1930s. Stuffed felt doll w/oilcloth eyes and four mother-of-pearl pants buttons. Has cardboard tag attached to chest but missing button in ear/fabric tag. Complete w/string whiskers, which are typically missing. Missing rubber tail. However, color remains strong and bold, this doll does not exhibit the usual color fade. Underside of one foot has company markings. Despite missing tail, doll still displays NM. Very charming doll in this small size and as nice as we've seen.
