Item Description
Original cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid contains 10.25" tall wind-up robot w/built-in key. Robot is mostly tin w/slightly pliable plastic hands, hard plastic eyes, chest cover and interior gears. Made in Japan by Yoshiya, 1960s. Designed w/aerial antenna on top of head which serves as the on/off switch, back has raised tin litho section w/simulated machinery. Toy walks forward as visible gears spin and a spark is produced. All functions work and toy has just a few minute scattered paint nicks as produced but glossy and Exc. overall. Box lid shows moderate handling wear w/creases at corners and even aging. Box bottom has one corner split. Fine.
