Item Description
8.5x11x21" tall illustrated cardboard box contains 18" tall plastic robot w/metal bell, winding key and accents. ©1960 Ideal Toy Corp. Top flaps of box have heavy wear w/4.5" tear and creases. Other creases are evident on three sides close to top of box as well. Some color rubs and spotting. VG. Toy is completely assembled and works well, moving along w/arms going back and forth, mouth opening and closing while producing a sound as well. Comes w/instruction and this is the first version of this toy as later versions did not have the metal key as well as other slight differences. If toy is turned upside down, scattered oil residue and tiny plastic particles can be viewed at the bottom of the toy. This does not affect operation in any way. Clear plastic has yellowed w/age. A nice, working example of this toy which is prone to warping, often to non-operating condition. This one works perfectly. Fine/VF.
