Item Description
Original cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid contains 9" tall mostly tin toy w/built-in key. 1971 version made in Japan by Yoshiya. Robot has plastic head and claw-like hands. Toy works and walks forward as sparks are produced, visible behind red/green transparent plastic inserts on chest and head. Glossy and Exc. Box features image of robot in red color scheme and is complete w/original cardboard inserts. Lid has two corner splits. Scattered lt. wear w/.25" puncture to main lid panel. Fine/VF. A nice robot modeled after Robby from the 1956 sci-fi classic "Forbidden Planet."
