Item Description
Sizes are 7/8” up to 3.5” Uncle Sam. Lot begins with rare “Welcome” button. Hake #74 with 2004 guide value of $3,000. TR’s face is unstained but rest is stained. Also, about a dozen 1/32” craze lines seen only with magnification. Next are two 1904 inaugurals. The 3.5” is missing ribbon badge, cello is tanned with all over craze and there are two large splits on lower half measuring 1.5” and 2”. Next inaugural ribbon badge has fabric splits but the rest is clean. Next “Teddy Bear” bread litho tin figural is missing reverse tab and pin but the front is clean. The five jugates in a row are each 1.25” classics as follow: (A) sepia real photo, clean front but oxidation scale on back; (B) eagle, a few light scratches in reflected light but no stain; (C) flag, faint age on rim; (D) Liberty holding flag with faint age in white center area; (E) Liberty with golden hair faint age on each side of TR. The next five single photos are all 1.25”. (A)1900 as Rough Rider, slight craze on top edge; (B) picture on gold has slight craze line on forehead; (C) shield design has tiny air bubble marks; (D) gold rim design has a couple of air bubbles; (E) shield and diamond design is a bit concave with tiny dirt speck at top. In the bottom row each are about 7/8”. (A) Jugate has a few pinpoint marks; (B) shield design has light age stain at 3-12 o’clock and no back paper; (C) “Col. Theodore Roosevelt” from 1898 has age on right edge and no back paper; (D) Brass pin by Green Duck from 1930’s or earlier. This shows a bear with big stick or club over the shoulder with text “Brownie Sportsmen/P.C. Of C.” Mint but its meaning is unknown to us. These items are the last from a large TR collection. Even discounted severely to account for condition issues, there are still hundreds of dollars of value here but the group is offered with a minimal opening bid.
