Item Description
This rare one day piece is 5” tall and suspends a 1-7/16” celluloid in a Mint luster brass rim. Brass hanger at the top has celluloid insert designating “Vice President.” Celluloid has a tiny bit of age tone on the perimeter. Fabric ribbon below reads “Roosevelt Meeting/Armory Hall/ Mar. 28, 1912.” Ribbon shows slight age but no damage. The suspended celluloid has two tiny dark marks on right edge of the face but these are plugged screen holes and as printed. Celluloid is Mint as made and has a covered tin back naming the St. Louis maker Steiner E. & B. Co. A rare and one day event ribbon badge prior to the creation of the Progressive Party.
