Item Description
Sizes are 5/8” to 1”. Included is the “Hoover/Curtis” jugate listed as Hake #8 with 2004 guide value of $116. Among the five other portrait buttons is “Put Hoover On” which is Hake #39 with 2004 guide value of $68. All buttons have their correct back papers if they were issued with one. In row 2, #3 the “Hoover For President” is a litho by Green Duck. This has a light hairline scratch across his cheek and collar. In row 3 is a scarce 1” oval, and an embossed brass button “Keep Hoover/Be Safe” and an uncommon “Anti-Smith” button. This has faint traces of surface wear. In the bottom row is an enamel figural “H” reading “Hoover/Curtis/Club.” Next is a white enamel owl with slogan “Who?/Who?/Hoover.” Last is one of the earliest tabs which has a small ripple on the stem. Fold over includes name of maker Irvine & Jachens. With noted exceptions all items are NM displaying Mint.
