Written by Tarzan creator Edgar Rice Burroughs, this is the ninth in his series of Tarzan books and was first published in 1923 by Grosset & Dunlap in conjunction w/release of the 1927 silent film "Tarzan And The Golden Lion." Shortly after publication, there was a dinner banquet to celebrate the publication of the book and commemorating the film in which many important people involved w/production of film signed interior frontispiece.
