Item Description
6.75" tall glazed ceramic bank produced in recognition of the Cleveland Indians' advancing to the World Series for the first time in six years. It was the team's third American League championship in franchise history. The Indians lost the World Series in four games to the New York Giants. Chief Wahoo is depicted w/baseball bat beside large baseball w/"'54'" date and "111" number, a reference to their 111 wins that season. Incised "Cleveland Baseball Club" text on front of base. Back of base has incised "© CBC - Gibbs-Connor & Co." name. Missing easily replaced feather from top of head. Exc. See following items #936-940.
