Players include - Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Larry Doby. Baseball card sheet has lt. handling wear but is o/w Exc. Magazine has pinch creases to spine and .25" tear at top left of front cover, which has some small corner creases. Fine. Comes w/original illustrated envelope w/issue-specific text and original mailing label. Envelope shows moderate wear w/heavy horizontal crease at center and 1.5" tear at left. Top flap present but creased at fold. VG. Vol. 1, #2 issue for Aug. 23, 1954 includes three-panel fold-out w/27 cards w/players shown on the front/stats on back. Black and white (previously unprinted) cards include Mickey Mantle. In 1954 and 1955 Topps did not release any regular issue Mantle cards because Bowman had signed exclusive agreements w/players including Mantle.
