3.5x5.5" advertising postcard showing Buster kicking hat which hides brick as Tige looks on laughing. Resolution text in bkg. tacked to tree includes text "Resolved!!! That When A Boy Kicks A Hat With A Brick In It He Is Up Against A Hard Proposition - Unless He Wears Buster Brown Blue Ribbon Shoes And Then The Laugh Is On The Brick." ©1909 The Brown Shoe Co. Reverse text promotes department store w/"Complete Line Of White House And Buster Brown Shoes." Unused and Exc. Rare. Buster Brown Shoes premium game, c. 1920s has 7.25x7.5" envelope w/instructions along w/image of children playing game on front. Contains cardboard pieces including 7" tall figure of Buster Brown holding American flag w/arm in air. Tige sits up next to him w/each having "Pair" point score. Figure has insert for standing up. Comes w/21 single-sided shoe playing pieces, each printed on .75" cardboard rectangles. There are four designs in two colors. Original quantity is unknown. Also contains 3.75" dia. cardboard punch-out rings to throw at Buster target figure. "Buster Brown Shoe Game" name at center of rings. Tiny .25" crease on Buster's wrist and on base support piece. Fine/VF overall. Three tears on envelope from 1" to 2" but repaired on interior surfaces w/archival tape. Crease line at right but clean. Rare.
