Item Description
2.25” with metal back and bar pin. Shows her in “NASA” jacket above slogan “I Touch The Future. I Teach.” Button was produced before the tragedy. In 1985 she was selected from 11,000 applicants to participate in the NASA teacher in space project and she was to become the first teacher in space. On January 28, 1986 the Challenger shuttle broke apart 73 seconds after launch. Button has couple tiny air dots in reflected light but is essentially Mint as made.
