Auction #214 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1007 in auction 214
Item Description
First in brass with adjustable bands does not carry his name but this is the ring which was pictured and offered by Quaker in 1935 Sunday newspaper ads. Sides have baseball bat and glove depictions while top has high relief image of a baseball. Clean brass surfaces. Second is a plastic ring issued by Kellogg’s as part of a 16 ring set inserted into 1950 cereal boxes. This “Babe Ruth” ring is among the scarcest and certainly the most popular of the 16 different designs that included various entertainment and sport personalities. Couple tiny dots of color missing at left but barely seen at all without magnification. Both pieces display Mint. Robert Overstreet Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
