Item Description
10.75x15x2.25" deep cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid contains Sidney A. Tarrson Co. game, 1950s. Box has some scattered wear, including creases at corners and corner tip wear. Fine/VF. Box describes the game as "Electronic Remote Control" but it is actually magnet-powered. Inside of box has tray platform which serves as playing surface. Simulated control panel at bottom, play area depicts path around different planets and include bkg. illustrations of satellites and rocketships. Lower right has "Planet Flight Plan," showing path traveled from Earth, to and around planets and back to Earth. Attached under platform is plastic accordion-style piece which had a magnetic rod attachment. Bottom center of platform has plastic/metal control wheel unit that connects to the accordion unit on underside. This is used to control a pair of small plastic rocketships w/metal bases and can therefore be maneuvered. However only one rocketship is here and this is missing small metal insert. The small magnet on accordion unit is also missing. Both of these could be easily replaced. Also included are four small plastic "Space Ports." Contents are Exc. Great design and graphics.
