10-5/8x17-1/8" artboard has original hand-painted acrylic pan production bkg. for 1956 "Looney Tunes" Bugs Bunny cartoon "Rabbitson Crusoe," directed by Friz Freleng and a direct parody of "Robinson Crusoe." Art was painted by Irv Wyner, a bkg. artist who was most associated w/the "Looney Tunes" animated shorts, in Friz Freleng's unit (1952-1957). Art has been signed by Wyner at lower right and shows desolate desert island w/single palm tree surrounded by craggy rocks. Top left margin has "Rabbitson Crusoe" title in ink and upper center has "Sc. - 2-4 - 1386" pencil note. This scene was used in early sequence w/shark trying to eat a shipwrecked Yosemite Sam. Upper margin has some aging, but art is o/w Exc. Superb art from a "Looney Tunes" classic.
