Each is 8.5x11” w/page count ranging from 28 to 32. Dates range from Winter 1982 to Spring 1987. Includes #2 ,3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. Of special note are issues w/”Calvin and Hobbes” comic strip creator Bill Watterson content: #2 has article “The Cartoonist’s License”, #5 has front cover done in Ralph Steadman style, #14 has cover w/Herblock as barber having just cut off customer’s head, #18 has front cover w/local newspaper editor upset about political cartoon and also has Watterson book review of Jim Borgman book, #20 has Watterson book review of “Liberals For Lunch”. Other cartoonists featured include: Auth, Oliphant, Trudeau, MacNelly, and Peters. A few early issues have minor cover aging, lot otherwise VF/Exc. Bill Watterson began his career w/”The Cincinnati Post” in 1980, going on to do “Calvin and Hobbes” from 1985 to 1995. High quality w/limited distribution & historic early Watterson content including some of his first covers. 15 of only 24 issues published. From the Schechter Family Collection.
