Item Description
1.25" with union bug back stamp and partial letters showing along the collet naming the maker as "Economy Novelty & Printing Co. N.Y.C." This character, a master scientist and brilliant prince of evil, was created by novelist Sax Rohmer in 1913. He appeared in both silent films and talkies. Played by actors such as Warner Oland, Boris Karloff, and in more recent years Christopher Lee and Peter Sellers. The stories were serialized in Colliers magazine and heard on the radio. This button was given to promote the 1940 movie serial. Scarce and in superb condition with almost no surface wear. See previous item. Essentially Mint.
