Item Description
This scarce ring from Wheaties was issued in 1940 and titled “Jack Armstrong Dragon’s Eye Ring.” It is essentially designed like the Buck Rogers ring titled “Ring Of Saturn”. (See Buck Rogers Ring #1168 and instruction paper for this Armstrong ring in lot #1154). The white plastic bands are designed as crocodiles with open jaws. Ring top has raised dark emerald green plastic oval stone. When glowing in the dark, this plastic stone becomes the “Dragon’s Eye” as it does not glow while the rest of the ring does glow. This is a gorgeous example with near pure white crocodile bands and a dark emerald green stone which has suffered none of the crazing and cracking that can occur to these over the years. Mint and rarely found as such.
